“Distribution” is a shareware product. You are allowed and encouraged to copy the program freely to anyone, provided the program is copied entirely, including this licence agreement and the documentation. You are not allowed to modify the program or accompanying files in any way (if you discover bugs, please report them to the author) without written consent of the author.
After 30 days, you must either pay the registration fee, or delete all copies of Distribution and it’s applets from your system.
Shareware is based on trust. We trust that if you use the product you will pay for it and encourage future development.
We toyed with the idea of making it expire, or forcing registration by adding a serial number. We hope that it won’t be necessary for version 2. Although the shareware fee is a modest $10.00 we fully understand that if one were to register and pay for every piece of shareware that they have and use we would all be broke. As a fellow TeleFinder™ Sysop I feel that Distribution is worth $10.00. If you feel it is only worth $5.00, then send $5.00. At least send us a post card so we’ll know how far this item has spread. $10.00 covers any and all macs for one TeleFinder BBS site. If you are a multi node TeleFinder BBS with multiple Macs, you only need to purchase one. Please contact me for site license information for non-TeleFinder BBS host sites.
We have lots of ideas for other great TeleFinder‚Ñ¢ utilities. Including plans for version 2.0, but we need your support to make it happen.
